Creating custom DIY wristlets may seem challenging, but they're not as difficult as you might think. They can be fashioned and secured in countless ways. This time, we crafted them using only one string instead of the usual two. Having done so, I've concluded that they feel significantly more secure with two strings.
For silicone bead wristlets, begin with at least 16 beads. If incorporating a focal bead, use 15 regular beads plus the focal bead. For Bubblegum Beads, only 12 are needed due to their larger size.
We enjoy arranging the beads into a pattern before threading; our usual design includes fun, patterned beads followed by a variety of other beads. We believe that wristlets reflect personal style, and we embrace being EXTRA! So, we incorporate beads of various shapes into our silicone wristlets. For an added touch of EXTRA, consider embellishing with rhinestone spacers.✨
We ensure that we have at least 9 inches of cord, although it's beneficial to have extra for tying purposes. We favor stretch cord for its versatility across all wrist sizes, which is ideal for our small business as it allows us to maintain a uniform standard size and use a consistent number of beads for each piece.
It's quite straightforward: cut your string, create your pattern, thread the beads, then attach your keychain and secure it. We use a needle with an opening cut into it to easily slide the string through—nothing too fancy. For the wristlet, wrap the string around your fingers and loop the thread under twice for extra security. Finally, trim the excess string and tuck the knot inside a bead to conceal it, and that's it!
